Mahebourg is a quaint little village that is off the beaten Mauritian tourist trail. Named after a very famous French governor from the French colonial era, the town is a unique amalgamation of French, Dutch and Creole architecture. And there are people who will buy those less-than-optimal selections because they are 1) the only options available and/or 2) all the people can afford. So I'm glad people donate to shops such as these, because the clothes fill a real need.
